Fedora Interest Group

Join us for the Fedora Interest Group sessions at Open Repositories 2017 to meet other Fedora users and developers and share your experiences with one another. If you are new to Fedora you will find many opportunities to learn more about the repository software from your peers in the open source community.

This year’s Fedora Interest Group track will showcase presentations, panels, demonstrations, and project updates. Some of the central themes include:

  • New Fedora production implementations
  • Migrating from Fedora 3.x to Fedora 4.x
  • Leveraging linked open data with LDP and PCDM
  • Using Fedora to support research data
  • Integrating Fedora into broader ecosystems
  • Joining or starting local Fedora user groups
  • Updates from the Hydra and Islandora communities

We are particularly interested to hear from members of the Australian Fedora community – if you are adopting, implementing, or migrating to Fedora please submit a proposal for the Fedora Interest Group track. Likewise, if you are not yet considering Fedora for your project, please tell us about missing features or obstacles that are leading you in other directions. Learn more about the project by visiting the website, and join the Fedora Interest Group at Open Repositories to discuss Fedora with the project developers and stakeholders.

Important dates
